From Here-uh to There-uh. Maine Business Stories

Running a business in Maine takes grit. The late nights, the close calls, the decisions that keep you up wondering if you chose right. Around here, people like to say “you can’t get there from here-uh.”

But the folks on our show prove otherwise.

Every episode of The Ric and Dan Show features a conversation with someone who’s made the journey and turned “there-uh” into “here-uh.” Proof that you really can get there from here.

Ric brings more than 30 years of television and radio production, writing, and research to Sutherland Weston. With a journalism background which includes a journalism degree from the University of Maine, Ric’s experience in news reporting, and news writing aids in creating vibrant advertising copy, spicy conceptual design and attention-grabbing media relations materials.

At Sutherland Weston, Ric helps lead the creative video and audio campaign team in developing television, radio, and social media efforts.

Dan Cashman is an Old Town native, who’s spent most of his life in Eastern Maine, aside from a stint in New York City interning at MSNBC and WFAN radio. A graduate of the University of Maine, Dan began his career with six years in radio before moving into a position as assistant press secretary for Gov. John Baldacci.

After leaving state government, he launched a small business in Bangor, and in 2015 joined Sutherland Weston as Public Relations Director, where he continues helping organizations share their stories.

Hit play, learn something new, and have a few laughs along the way.

Meet the entrepreneurs, dreamers, and doers who’ve shared their grit, victories, and lessons that got them from “there-uh” to “here-uh.”
